Phil Raveling
Phil is a retired senior CIA operations officer and spent 25 years serving his country in Afghanistan, Iraq and a variety of sensitive positions in US Embassies in Switzerland, France, Turkey and Italy. Since his retirement from Government service in 2015, Phil embarked on a business career as an entrepreneur and built two successful companies supporting the US Government and DoD in the Middle East and Afghanistan. Phil has brought several international firms to market in tough places, managing US Government Relations and supporting project finance for infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Phil has worked extensively with World Bank, USAID, US Treasury Dept and the US Development Finance Corp, formerly OPIC. In his last CIA assignment Phil oversaw CIA Financial Intelligence Operations and engaged frequently with OFAC and with US Congress. He has supported financial investigations, numerous sanctions issues and was instrumental in de-listing a high net worth individual sanctioned by OFAC. Phil also served as a Senior Advisor and representative agent for L3Harris Technologies in Afghanistan and provided defense equipment and technology support over many years to the Afghan National Security Forces. Phil lives in Washington DC and Dallas, Texas, was educated at Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth Texas and received his MA in International Development at American University in Washington DC.
